Owlet Adventure: Cedar River Watershed

23 Jul 2019 | 08:30 am - 03:30 pm
Place : meet at Saint Andrew's
Cost : $5 plus no-host lunch
Email : sherry@SALC.church

Although O.W.L.S. luncheons (Older, Wiser Lutheran Saints) take the summer off, the Owlets (open to all ages) focus on adventures away from church.

Water, water everywhere and plenty to drink!
Find out where our drinking water comes from as the OWLets enjoy a guided tour of the Cedar River Watershed on Tuesday, July 23.

Meet at church at 8:30 am. We will travel in the church van to the Cedar Falls Education Center by Rattlesnake Lake outside of North Bend. A guide will lead us to Chester Morse Lake (closed to the public) where the Seattle area drinking water is stored.  We will visit the old town of Cedar Falls and the masonry dam that accidentally created Rattlesnake Lake.

After our tour, we will head to lunch at a North Bend restaurant and should be back to church by 3:30 pm.

Cost will be $5 entry fee plus your no-host lunch.

Limited to 20 participants.

Reserve your spot by contacting Fellowship Coordinator Sherry Grindeland, sherry@salc.church or 425-746-2529.
