Normal meeting schedule: One Sunday in September, one Sunday in January, and a Saturday luncheon in May.

The Altar Guild prepares the Communion Service for worship, cares for robes, coordinates Sunday flowers, coordinates the baking of bread for Communion, and decorates the Sanctuary for special services.

To care for the vessels, the bread and the wine, the linens and hangings, the candles and flowers used for worship is far more than a task, it is a true ministry.

Altar Guild welcomes men, women, and families to join us. It can be a great way for a couple or a family to serve together.

We each serve about eight (8) times per year. Each time we serve, we spend about 2.5 hours preparing for and cleaning up after worship:
1 hour on Saturday, 1/2 hour between services on Sunday, and 1 hour following the last service on Sunday.

In addition to preparing the church for worship every week, we are responsible for decorating the flower cross at Easter and hanging the Chrismons on the tree in December. We undertake these tasks in fellowship and worshipful joy.

Sanctuary Flowers

The congregation is invited to provide flowers for Sunday worship services.  The Altar Guild coordinates the scheduling and placement of flowers in the Sanctuary.
