O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser Lutheran Saints) meet (typically) on the third Tuesday of the month from September through May for a potluck lunch and interesting programs.
Although O.W.L.S. stands for Older, Wiser Lutheran Saints, our programs have a wide age appeal and younger, wise Lutherans are always welcome.
The social time begins at 11:45 am; the potluck begins around noon.
No sign-up or RSVP required. Just come, and if you can, bring a dish to share.
November 19, 2019
Saint Andrew’s members Dick and Debbie Szabo will be the O.W.L.S. (Older, Wiser Lutheran Saints) speakers.
Dick will lead a discussion on Saint Andrew’s newly adopted Mission Statement: “Growing Together in Christ to Love and Serve All People.” We will discuss our mission and O.W.L.S.’ involvement in that mission.
Also, Dick and Debbie will give an overview of our Corner of Blessing and describe how we help our neighbors in need through our ongoing donations to Hopelink. You can help boost the number of Emergency Bags we can pack at the Advent Fair on December 1. Bring something from the list of items needed for those bags:
Canned Beans (~15 ounce black, pinto or kidney),
Canned Vegetables (~15 ounce green beans, corn, peas or carrots),
Rice (1 or 2 pound bag – white or brown),
Granola Bars (individually wrapped),
Peanut Butter (~16 ounce plastic jar – no-stir),
Instant Oatmeal packets (plain or flavored),
Canned Pasta Sauce (~24 ounce cans),
Pasta (16 ounce package of dry pasta
Check the church media and our Hopelink webpage to see what is needed to complete the most bags.
