Tuesday Morning Men

Tuesdays, 8:30 am, online (contact the office for Zoom link)

Men’s Ministry seeks to grow and strengthen the active faith life of the community of men at Saint Andrews. Tuesday Morning Men offers a weekly opportunity learn and pray together.

Over the years we have adapted the meeting to the needs of those who are attending.  We currently meet over Zoom every Tuesday morning from 8:30-9:30am. Meeting virtually allows us to join from home, from the office, or while traveling. Our areas of study cover a wide range of topics and formats, from simple devotionals to more weighted studies of scripture and theology, with a common theme of strengthening our faith and applying it to our daily lives. Recent examples include the Gospel of Mark, contemplative prayer, the theology of Paul Tillich, the ELCA statement on Faith and Civic Life, and devotionals using selections from Marking All things new by Tim Weber, and That Fine Line by R.W Davis.  We also took a longer look at the stories of migration in the Bible, the stories of our individual families’ migration to where we are now, and how we apply our Christian faith to the current challenges facing immigrants in our community and the world today.

We start each week catching up on what is going on in each other’s lives, import sports events and the broader ministry of St Andrews. The TMM group continues to support the successful farm project at the MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School (MGLS), Tiny House mission projects and more.  Thank you to everyone for their continued prayers and support.

The TMM study topics are suggested and led by members of the group, and usually last 1-3 weeks, with no homework required, so it is easy to join at any anytime. We conclude each week with prayer.
