Juneteenth Handout
Description:
Juneteenth has been celebrated annually on June 19th by African Americans since 1865 to commemorate the end of enslaved people in the United States of America. In fact, it is often referred to as the second Independence Day of the United States of America. Now it is a federal holiday on June 19th, and this year it will be observed on Monday, June 20, 2022.
Join the Saint Andrew’s Racial Justice Group to further explore Juneteenth and our place with this National Holiday.
