Luther and Lent: The Gospel for Times of Social Unrest – Part 2

Facilitators:
The Reverend Dr. Wesley C. Telyea

Description:

In the late winter/early spring of 1522 Wittenberg was in turmoil. Schools were closed, Luther was locked away in the Wartburg Castle, and Wittenberg itself was on the brink of collapse. As Lent began Luther emerged from hiding and preached 8 sermons. These sermons virtually calmed tensions overnight. Pastor Wes Telyea leads us through an exploration of what the Gospel is for times of social unrest.
