Enter in and Break us open to Welcome You, O Christ!
Each of three sessions (November 29, December 6, December 13) is designed to stand alone so you may attend any or all three. New material is shared each week. In each session, we explore classic models of prayer and spirituality as well as history and themes of Advent. You are invited to experience spiritual disciplines (some familiar and some perhaps new). No previous experience is necessary. Everyone will be challenged to open oneself to a spirit of emerging growth.
November 29 – The traditional Advent duality of Light and Dark is a rich theme for this beloved season, but leaving light and dark language unexplored is problematic. We approach the liturgical roots of Advent as an intense time of repentance which is central to any healthy spirituality. Discipleship demands our whole and honest selves, therefore our embodied experience is an introduction to “praying in color.”
