Dear Saint Andrew’s Family,
As most of the remaining COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted statewide by the Governor, the Reopening Task Force wants to give you an update on how this affects our in-person worship services. You’ll be happy to hear that effective this coming Sunday, July 11, registration for worship is no longer required and there will be no restrictions on the number of people who can attend. On the honor system, masks will be optional for fully vaccinated worshippers. You will have more flexibility on where you sit, and we’ll be able to sing liturgy and hymns without wearing masks.
Some limitations are still in place, however. We will continue to exchange a “touch-free” sign of peace for now – no handshakes or hugs with those outside your household. Communion will be done in place with pre-packaged elements for now. The Narthex, Sanctuary, and restrooms will remain as the only areas open on Sundays. We continue to encourage that social interactions take place outside the building. If you have any symptoms of illness, please stay home.
We know that not everyone is vaccinated, and not everyone is comfortable mingling freely with others at this point. For this reason we will offer a “distanced” section for those who are not yet vaccinated or have unvaccinated children, or who would simply feel more comfortable with a mask and a little more space. A hospitality team member will be happy to help find the right spot for you to sit.
As you are comfortable doing so, please join us for in-person worship on Sundays at 9:30 am. Please know that we will continue to livestream worship services into the future.
Thank you for your patience these past few months with all the shifting guidelines and restrictions and for finding creative ways to stay connected with one another. We are excited that we will see you soon.
