Health and Wholeness Ministry assembles Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief (LWR).

These kits are distributed by LWR around the world, providing hygiene, dignity and hope to those in crisis situations. The kits are sent to areas of the world where an emergency has occurred, and people are left with very little.  The kits supply basic items for survival.

The Health and Wholeness Ministry Committee is once again holding the Baskets of Promise drive. Through the end of April, we are collecting articles to be put into Personal Care Kits that will be shipped in early May to Lutheran World Relief. You can help us fill these kits by donating the items listed below:

• bath towels (lightweight, dark colored, size: 20″ x 40″ to 27″ x 52″)
• large sturdy combs (sturdy, no picks or fine tooth combs)
• metal nail clippers (large or small, attached nail file optional)
• bars of soap (4-5 ounces in original packaging)
• adult-sized toothbrushes (in original packaging; can be multi-packs)
