Health and Wholeness Ministry assembles Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief (LWR).

These kits are distributed by LWR around the world, providing hygiene, dignity and hope to those in crisis situations. The kits are sent to areas of the world where an emergency has occurred, and people are left with very little.  The kits supply basic items for survival.

The Health and Wholeness Ministry Committee is once again holding the Baskets of Promise drive during Lent. We are collecting articles to be put into Personal Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief. You can help us fill these kits by donating the items listed below:

  • February 28:  bath towels (lightweight, dark colored, size: 20″ x 40″ to 27″ x 52″)
  • March 5:  large sturdy combs (sturdy, no picks or fine tooth combs)
  • March 12:  metal nail clippers (large or small, attached nail file optional)
  • March 19:  bars of soap (4-5 ounces in original packaging)
  • March 26:  adult-sized toothbrushes (in original packaging; can be multi-packs)
  • April 2:  bath towels (lightweight, dark colored, size: 20″ x 40″ to 27″ x 52″)
