CAROLS Kit – Pickup (Christmas At-home: Remove Outreach in Loving Service)

CAROLS Kits can be picked up at church on November 29, 2020, from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm.

At that time you are invited to return a donation for MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School uniforms, a bag of groceries for Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank’s Emergency Feeding Program, and/or food for Hopelink’s No-Cook Emergency Food Bags.

Sign up for your CAROLS Kit no later than Sunday, November 15, so  that we can have adequate supplies for pick-up on November 29!

Christmas At-Home: Remote Outreach in Loving Service (CAROLS)

Instead of coming to Fellowship Hall for the Advent Service Fair, you are invited to come to the church parking lot and assemble a CAROLS Kit , containing whatever holiday projects you and your family wish to do in your home. Options include greenery and supplies for an Advent wreath; cookie baking and decorating supplies; cards and gift tags; coloring pages; and small fleece blankets for the animals at the Seattle Humane Society.

When you pick up your box, you are also invited to leave something in exchange. You can drop a donation for the MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School uniform fund, an emergency food bag for the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank; and/or food for Hopelink's emergency food bags.

You are invited to come and assemble your CAROLS Kit on Sunday, November 29, from 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm at Saint Andrew's.

In addition, you are invited to consider bringing any of the following with you when you come on November 29:

A monetary donation to purchase uniforms for new students at MaaSAE Girls Lutheran Secondary School (MGLSS).
MGLSS is in Tanzania. Uniforms for new students include 2 logo shirts, a khaki skirt, a red sweatshirt, a pair of black shoes, 3 pairs of socks, and 3 pairs of underwear. These will be washed weekly and well-cared for, to last the student 2 years.

A Bag of Groceries for Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank's Emergency Feeding Program for the Homeless.
Each bag needs to include:
2 bottles of water
5-6 snack items (small bag of nuts, granola bars, trail mix, peanut butter crackers, etc)
2 cans of chili, hearty soup, or canned pasta (something with protein!) - pop-top is ideal
1 box macaroni-and-cheese
2 cans tuna or chicken - pop-top is ideal
8-10 instant oatmeal packets
2 cans fruit - pop-top is ideal
Please consider using a re-usable shopping bag for this donation.

Grocery items for Hopelink's "No-Cook" Emergency Food Bags for the Homeless
Individual items are welcome:
Pop-top cans of stew or ravioli type meals (i.e. Chef Boyardee)
Pop-top cans of fruit
Granola bars (package must have expiration date on it)
Cups of instant oatmeal (not packets)
Peanut butter (~16-ounce plastic jar – no stir)
