Presenter: Maria Harwell and members of the Racial Justice Group
Maria Harwell and members of the Racial Justice Group will delve into the subject of and lead meaningful discussion around the historical context of noose incidents across the U.S. and in our local communities, and the anti-racist work we are called to do in order to heal from and prevent further racially-motivated harassment and threats.
Yes, it may make you uncomfortable but please join us for this historical perspective and the ramifications that continue today.
As the Racial Justice Group says, their job is to make us uncomfortable with our past – not to make me or you feel guilty but to understand and help change the future for the better.
Forums are in-person only. With permission of the presenter, they will be recorded and posted online for later viewing.
