Sunday Discipleship Hour Forum - Saint Andrew’s Values and Value Statements

Sundays, November 1 and 8, 2020 | 10:45 am | via Zoom

Facilitators: Vision Initiative Team

As part of the Vision Initiative that was started in 2018, our congregation developed both a Mission Statement and a set of Value Statements. This two-part series will provide a background of how these values were developed and why they are designed to help identify what defines and motivates our congregation. It will review each of the four values and how they are guiding the ministry of our church. They should help us to prepare for the next steps in our visioning process. Each session will include time for questions.

November1: Worship and Discipleship
We will cover the history of how we developed the four values and our Mission Statement. Week One will discuss the values of Worship and Discipleship and how these values fit into our ministry.

November 8: Outreach and Relationship
In Week Two we will examine how the values of Outreach and Relationship fit into our ministry. It will wrap up with our looking ahead and how we can live according to these Values.

Sign up no later than the Saturday before the Forum so we can get the Zoom link emailed to you in time.

Sunday Discipleship Hour Forum - Sharing God's Generosity

Sunday, November 15, 2020 | 10:45 am | via Zoom

Facilitators: Pastor Lara and Darcy Johnson

Generosity lives at St. Andrew’s!
Our congregation is richly blessed by God’s generosity! Look around, get to know the people who used to sit next to you in the pew. Blessed with family, friends, community, faith, hope, love and sometimes wealth! Each of us has a story to tell, rich in God’s grace. Come hear from some folks you haven’t talked to in months to learn how God’s generosity inspires their actions in the world as a reflection of His love. There are so many lived experiences and examples of Christ in action through Saint Andrew’s. You’ll hear stories you’ve never heard before and get to know your sisters/brothers in Christ just a little bit better at a time when we could all use a little tighter connection.

Also, come prepared to WIN….we have a little contest going with a Starbucks Card as the prize in each category. The Stewardship Campaign has challenged us each week to do a little research to discover how fortunate we are and challenged to consider sharing just 10% of each of these categories:
How many Books do you own?
How many canned goods or jars of food are in your cupboards/pantry?
How many items do you own that have wheels?
How many pairs of socks and undies get washed each week in your household?
How many lightbulbs are inside and outside your house?

Huge hint….it’s not the largest number in each category that wins Come join us for a fun, fact filled journey to better understanding God’s call to each of us!!!
With love and gratitude, Your Stewardship Committee
