Dr. David Vossler, Neurologist

In this two-part Forum series, Dr. Vossler explains the four main types of dementia: Alzheimer disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia. He explains the causes of these conditions as well as the clinical signs and symptoms that they produce. The sessions include explanations of tests for the diseases and the standard medications being used to help patients. Dr. Vossler is a Clinical Professor of Neurology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He recently semi-retired, but is still involved in managing an epilepsy center, teaching physicians, publishing original research study reports and book chapters in the medical literature, and consulting with pharmaceutical companies to develop new and novel treatments for epilepsy/seizures.
