Affirmation of Baptism – Classes

Affirmation of Baptism/Confirmation (ABC) classes are geared toward students in grades 7-8, and are held on Sundays at 9:45 am. All students meet in 321/Youth Room. Classes prepare Saint Andrew’s youth to understand and affirm their faith.

  Nine youth Affirmated their Baptism during worship on June 6, 2021. Blessings to all of them as they continue their faith journey!

Our faithful teaching team continues to challenge our young people as they prepare for the Affirmation of their Baptism, usually at the end of their 8th grade year.
The students study the Old and New Testaments, Martin Luther, the basic tenets of the Lutheran faith, liturgy, service, and discuss questions of ethics and related issues of faith.

Mentor/Mentee Ministry
Our Mentor Ministry links adults of mature faith with the young people to support, encourage and engage in discussions on faith issues during their three years in ABC. Mentors meet with small groups of youth during Discipleship Hour on Sunday mornings.

Worship Service Summaries
One commitment for these students is to complete worship summaries.  Paper copies of the form are available in the Narthex, near the office. The summary may also be completed online in one of two ways:
