I am a life long Lutheran! My father was in the Army, so I grew up in a lot of places, mostly Northern California, then Northern Italy, and finally Washington state.
I have had a crazy, creative career path. I was a professional dancer and actress, an event planner and catering assistant, then taught preschool and I was a preschool Program Supervisor. I have always loved working with people, particularly children. So, it was a leap of faith (on all sides) when I went to work at Holy Trinity, Mercer Island, as their Director of Youth & Family ministry. For the Synod, I coordinated the May Youth Weekends at Holden Village for over 10 years - working with congregations and Trinity Lutheran College students. I also 'revived' MYW after Holden's five-year closure for mine tailing remediation and wild fire closing. My time at HTLC included all their event, retreat, education planning; communications (enews, web and social media).
I have three children (all grown up) and loved every stage of their lives! I was the Girl Scout leader, football mom, Bellairs mom, BHS class advisor, PTSA president at all levels. (I think I'm the defination of a helocopter mom). I have six grandchildren, three grand dogs and one grand cat.
I am delighted to be a part of the Saint Andrews staff. It is a spirit-led place and people.
