Pastor Timothy T. Weber, Ph.D. has been a Shared-Time Pastor at Saint Andrew’s since 1994.
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with an office in Bellevue, Washington. I also serve on the pastoral staff here at Saint Andrew’s, and am an adjunct professor in the Industrial/Organizational doctoral program at Seattle Pacific University. I also provide coaching and leadership training for business professionals and organizations.
I received my BA degree from Concordia Senior College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1971. I completed my seminary education at Concordia Seminary in Exile and received an M.Div. degree from Lutheran School of Psychology in Chicago in 1975. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena, California in 1981. Following a postdoctoral internship in marriage and family therapy at the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center in New York, I practiced in Colorado Springs from 1983-1990, and moved to Seattle in 1990.
I specialize in working with the family of origin, and have coauthored a major book on family of origin therapy and a primary book chapter on family of origin work. My counseling focuses on individuals with a variety of distress (anxiety, depression, work stress, addictions, relationship issues), couples in all phases of life, and teenagers/young adults and their families. I have a particular interest in the interface between faith and life, and am in the process of publishing a book Making All Things New which is a collection of essays and homilies based on the common lectionary.
I have co-authored two books on the practice of psychotherapy and consulting, published “Interrupting Sudden Death” an article in Family, Systems, and Health describing my near death experience, and have published numerous articles in professional journals on human health, the training of psychotherapists, and the process of consulting and therapy.
