Coronavirus Response and Information

During this heightened time of awareness and prevention regarding coronavirus, we want you to be aware of some schedule changes and steps that we are taking to keep everyone safe and healthy.

We continue to monitor news and recommendations from local and regional health departments.

We will continue to update the congregation as new information is available.

For now…..

Wednesday Lenten Soup Suppers and Worship for March 11 and March 18 are CANCELLED.

Sunday, March 15

We will meet for worship as scheduled, at 8:30 am and 11:00 am.

We will also LIVESTREAM both worship services, so you can watch remotely.

Click here to watch the 11:00 am worship service livestream

Both links will take you to a “Microsoft Teams” webpage. Select the “Watch on the web instead” button.  On the next screen, click on “Join anonymously” (located below the “Sign in” button.)

The links and instructions will be available on the Saint Andrew’s website on Sunday.

Discipleship Hour classes will be held as usual at 9:45 am.
Pastor Weber’s Adult Forum presentation will be recorded; video and audio will be posted on the Saint Andrew’s website.

The church office is OPEN for normal hours:  Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

We are taking precautions, such as the following:

Sundays:

Suspending the use of the chalice for serving Communion.

Sanitizing Communion trays and bowls before, between, and after worship services.

Wiping down the altar, railing, baptismal font, pew armrests and tops before, between, and after worship services.

Communion servers and ushers will wash hands and use hand sanitizer before, during, and after worship.

At the Peace, an elbow bump or verbal “Peace be with You” is encouraged instead of shaking hands.

Ushers will hold the offering plates and walk them around, rather than pass them through the pews.

Worship bulletins will not be re-used; please take your bulletin home with you after worship (it can be used as a devotional tool, a reference for the following week’s readings, and prayer resource.)

Children’s church bags, filled with crayons, snacks, coloring sheets, stickers, etc., can be taken home following worship.

In general….

We are wiping down “common touch” areas daily.

Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building for your use.

Frequent and thorough hand washing is encouraged.

EVERYONE is encouraged to follow health agency recommendations, especially if you are in a high risk group.
If you feel more comfortable staying home from church, please do so.
We are a community in Christ, whether we are physically together or not, and remaining healthy and safe is a top priority.

Please SHARE this information with those who may not read email on a routine basis.
