This event is part of the ELCA’s “God’s work. Our hands” annual day of service. This is a volunteer opportunity to collect food to help Hopelink fight hunger in our community.
We are putting together teams of volunteers to be at the Crossroads QFC from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm to collect nonperishable food items from shoppers. All food collected will go to the Hopelink Food Bank in Bellevue. The job consists of handing out a “shopping list” flyer and thanking people for their donations.
Shifts are 1 ½ hours long*, and 4 volunteers are needed per shift. All ages can participate, and it is a wonderful family activity! Sign up for shifts HERE or email Dick Szabo at dick.szabo@comcast.net. Together we can turn just a few hours of time into tons of food for hungry local families. For more information, contact Debbie Szabo at debbieszabo@comcast.net (206) 972-2675 or Dick Szabo (206) 390-7621.
One day. One day to help ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. One shift can make a big difference. Please consider volunteering on September 12th!
If you aren’t able to sign up for a shift, you can still be part of this event to help our hungry neighbors. Come to the Crossroads QFC between 10 am and 4 pm, do a little shopping and then drop off a few items for Hopelink with the volunteers!
