NW Washington Synod LiVE Project LiVE (rhymes with "give") is a ministry of the Northwest Washington Synod. LiVE offers education opportunities for lay people that are more in-depth than we as an individual congregation can offer, with the goal of forming Christian leaders able to make sense of our place in God's world. Saint Andrews has purchased a congregation bundle, meaning that anyone from the congregation can attend any LiVE offering for no cost. A promo code is needed when registering; contact the church office, info@salc.church or 425-746-2529, to get the code. Then, when registering for any LiVE retreat or course, enter the promo code on the registration page and the total cost will become $0. To learn more about LiVE and the course offerings (the first one begins in September), visit https://lutheransnw.org/ministries/the-live-project.
Food Collection for Hopelink The Hopelink Food Bank tries hard to provide the items needed and desired by the 1700 households they support. As we partner with them, they have come to ask us for items that are not typically donated. The families they support would like to be able to do some baking, so for September we are collecting Baking Makings sugar, flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and yeast. Hopelink also appreciates the paper bags we supply to them. Bring all donations to the Corner of Blessing in the Narthex.
Volunteers for Youth and Family Activities We need volunteers for youth events! Sign up in the Narthex to help with an event/activity in September/October. Or, contact Doug Johnson, doug@salc.church, or the Discipleship Ministries Committee to ask about ways you can help!
