Prayer

Holy God, we lift to you the animal inhabitants of the earth. For those seen and unseen creatures and living things that attest to your creative power, we ask your blessing. We pray for victims of animal cruelty. Bless all who care for injured and abused animals. Comfort those who mourn for their pets and for endangered and extinct species. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

June is PRIDE month. The JEDI Group (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) has rainbow Northwest Washington Synod Pride bandanas for sale. They are available for a suggested donation of $8-10. JEDI purchased the bandanas from the synod for $5, and the extra funds collected will go to purchasing more books for the JEDI book library in the Narthex. Contact Sherry Grindeland, sherry@salc.church or 425-746-2529, to get your bandana!

Food Collection for Hopelink
Hopelink is gearing up for their End Summer Hunger program to support families with school-aged children. During the summer, these children no longer have access to the feeding programs at school. During June, Hopelink has asked us to collect Peanut Butter (about 16-ounce jars - other non-peanut butters are okay); and Jelly or Jam (about 12-to-20-ounce jars) to support this program
Also, Hopelink always appreciates the paper bags we supply to them. They are eager to get them and make them available to their clients.
