Sunday Discipleship Hour Forum - How to Interpret the Bible

Sunday, September 20, 2020 | 10:45 am | via Zoom

Facilitator: Jean Wahlsttom

This is Session 1 of a 7-session video series by Dr. Mark Allan Powell, a Lutheran pastor and Bible professor at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio.
In this video series Dr. Powell invites you to explore seven important questions about Lutherans and the Bible. He does not prescribe “the Lutheran way" to read the Bible nor does he dismiss the way you may have come to understand the Bible. Instead Dr. Powell presents a variety of Lutheran perspectives for interpreting the Bible.
Through Dr. Powell's rich discussions you will discover answers to questions you have always had about the Bible.

Each session can be viewed as a stand-alone presentation. Additional sessions may be scheduled for later dates.

This session's video is approximately 20 minutes long. The video will be followed by a discussion facilitated by Jean Wahlstrom.

Sign up below and the Zoom link for this session will be emailed to you.

Sanctuary Prayer

We have missed being together here at Saint Andrew’s. While we can’t yet hold traditional in-person worship services, your household can now come to the Sanctuary for individual prayer.
Keeping our congregation healthy and safe is our paramount concern in this re-opening period, so we are asking everyone to sign up to come to pray.
This will limit numbers and maintain physical distancing.

You will be sent more details and instructions for accessing the building after signing up.

Contact Fellowship Coordinator Sherry Grindeland,, or Communications Specialist Susan Hegedus,, with questions.

The Sanctuary is available 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday.

Signing up 24 hours in advance is required.

I/We plan to come to the Sanctuary to pray:
