O.W.L.S. (Older Wiser Lutheran Saints)

Tuesday, April 20, 2021 | 11:45 am | via Zoom

Facilitator: Fellowship Coordinator Sherry Grindeland

Virtual Visit to Issaquah of Yesteryear
Gather with the Saint Andrew’s Older Wiser Lutheran Saints for a look at Issaquah’s history on Tuesday, April 20, 2021.
Issaquah predates most of the Eastside cities and had a raucous history that included coal mining, logging, a connection to the skyjacking story of D.B. Cooper, and was a main railroad stop.
Erica Maniez, Executive Director of the Issaquah History Museums - yes that’s plural - will share stories about the town jail (still available for viewing) and other fun tidbits..

No potluck dish needed for online O.W.L.S.. And you don’t need to be older or wiser to join this fun group.
We gather via Zoom at 11:45 am to chat and check-in.
The program begins at 12:00 noon.

Reservation deadline is 5:00 pm on Monday, April 19.
The Zoom link will be sent by 10:00 am on April 20.

For more information, contact Fellowship Coordinator Sherry Grindeland, or 425-746-2529.

There are two opportunities to meet. You can join either meeting at any time during the call.

Midweek Bible Study, with Pastor Lara

Tuesdays | 10:00 am | via Zoom

Join Pastor Lara for midweek Bible study.

Each week, we take an in-depth look at the upcoming Sunday readings.
For example, on November 4 we studied the readings for Sunday, November 8.

We still meet via Zoom at 10:00 am, but Pastor Lara “starts” the meeting at 9:45 am so that you have time to check in with each other and get settled prior to our opening prayer.
We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Sign up below and the Zoom link to access the session will be emailed to you.

Questions? Contact Pastor Lara,

Sanctuary Prayer

We have missed being together here at Saint Andrew’s.
While we can’t yet hold traditional in-person worship services, your household can come to the Sanctuary for individual prayer.
Keeping our congregation healthy and safe is our paramount concern in this re-opening period, so we are asking everyone to sign up to come to pray.
This will limit numbers and maintain physical distancing.

You will be sent more details and instructions for accessing the building after signing up.

Contact Fellowship Coordinator Sherry Grindeland,, or Communications Specialist Susan Hegedus,, with questions.

The Sanctuary is available 7:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday.

Signing up 24 hours in advance is required.

I/We plan to come to the Sanctuary to pray:
