Blue Christmas Worship Service, date and time to be determined

What is a Blue Christmas worship service and why are we having one?
The holidays are often referred to as being “the most wonderful time of the year” and, indeed, there are many reasons to be festive and celebratory. For many people, though, this time of year is anything but wonderful and is, instead, filled with depression, sadness, and grief. This year, in particular, has given us much to be upset about. In addition to the grief we’ve experienced over the deaths of loved ones, we are also faced with not being able to come to church during Advent or on Christmas Eve, as well as with the likelihood of having to be apart from family and friends during this season.
A Blue Christmas worship service is a contemplative time of prayer and music that gives voice to these feelings and assures us that we are not alone in them. More importantly, it offers us the promise that God is with us in this time and that there is reason to hope.

Nativity of Our Lord, Christmas Eve, December 24

    Worship times to be determined
There will be one livestreamed worship service on Christmas Eve.
It will be a service of Lessons and Carols… to listen, to sing, to see, to learn, to remember the promise fulfilled in Jesus.
