Doug Johnson joined Saint Andrew’s as our Director of Youth and Family Ministries on August 1, 2020.

Hello! I am excited to share my love and passion for church and ministry with the youth and family of Saint Andrew’s. I grew up in California, where church was a big part of my life. As a lifelong Lutheran, the church as always been a place of comfort, a place to call home, and a place for me to be challenged and grow. I have been lucky enough to be a part of churches in California, Minnesota, Washington, Michigan, and Florida. I am thrilled to be joining you all after two years of living in Vero Beach, Florida.

I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. I then went on to Luther Seminary to receive my Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees. I have been on youth and mission trips to Milwaukee, Louisville, the Jersey shore, and more. I love engaging in service through the church and I am excited to see where God will call the youth of Saint Andrew’s next.

I have had a passion for youth and family ministry since I was a youth myself. I started serving my home church by helping with Vacation Bible School and it has just grown from there! I have been so blessed to work with so many youth across the country and I continue to be blessed by the youth and families here at Saint Andrew’s. I truly believe that my call and passion is for youth ministry and I am excited to share that with you all.
